Munarrikolanda Route. 7 km

Ruta Muñarrikolanda

We will leave from the parking area of Urko Sports Centre. We will need to border the Sports Centre following the signs of the “Muna-rrikolanda” Route. In the back, we will fnd two types of signs:
• GR280: this route belongs to one of the stages of the GR280 Route. If we decide to follow this way we will have to guide ourselves by the red and white signs.
• Munarrikolanda route: following this path we will divert a bit from the GR280 Route, but we will be able to visit bunkers, trenches and remains from “Cinturon de Hierro”(Iron Belt) of Bilbao. Also, we will be able to go to the “Ikurriña” (Basque Flag) where we can see the whole village of Sopela.
Along the whole route, with an interval of 5 to 10 minutes, we will fnd a total of 7 monuments or pre-historic sculptures, in order of appearance: Saierri, Saierri Muinoa, Saierriko Landa I, Saierriko Landa II, Muñako Landa I, Muñako Landa II and Goikogana..
